Advertising Account Executive (Updated 7/14/2022)
Essential Job Functions:
- Set up sales calls
- Cultivate/source new business leads through research
- Manage relationships and provide a high level of customer service
- Effective communication, timely response to requests
- Proactive resolution to potential issues
- Work closely with the VP, Sales & Marketing to ensure deadlines/goals are met
- Meet with clients regularly as needed
- Discuss ideas and advertising strategies with clients and assist them in developing advertising campaigns
- Present creative concepts to clients
- Meet and exceed monthly sales goals
- Must be able to continually prioritize workload with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects
Knowledge & Skills Required
- A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field
- At least 3 years experience as an advertising account executive or in a related position.
- Customer service and relations
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail
- High level of adaptability and creative thinking
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong presentation skills
- Ability to constantly prioritize with minimal supervision
- Ability to truly multi-task
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft suite, email, etc.
- Knowledge of print and online media preferred
- Strong negotiation and consultative skills
- Excellent understanding of advertising methods and techniques
- The ability to cope with pressure and keep to tight deadlines
- Be able to work as part of a team of creative staff members
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Reports to the VP, Sales & Marketing
